We have stayed at the Fargin Cottage for the past two years and have simply fallen in love with the place. In fact, we are booked to go back on two more occasions this year.
Jim and Narda are awesome hosts and always make sure your stay is a relaxing one. The cottage itself is bigger than it looks from the outside as they have recently added a bedroom a new bathroom. There is also a large bunkie which makes for a great separate space if you have teenagers.
The beach is easily the nicest we have ever seen in the area with hardpacked sand and a very child-friendly gradual slope into the water. There a sandy road between the cottage and the lake, but traffic is light and people generally drive slowly on it - Not an issue.
We have rented a number of places over the years and can say that this is an awesome cottage on an awesome lake at a very reasonable price!

Fargin Cottage was terrific. Can't wait to return. The separate bunkie was great for us. Loved the dock and the wonderful airy windows that made you feel you were outdoors while inside.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fargin Cottage. Lake was great for fishing, swimming was great and all the amenities of home. Jim & Narda were gracious hosts. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone. We hope to book another vacation here soon!

We rented this cottage just this past week and were very pleased with it. It was a perfect little getaway haven for us as we were looking for just some R&R and we certainly got that lounging by the lake most of the time. The cottage was nice and cozy and is well laid out and was very surprised at how so much was supplied and already right there on site for us as our past cottage experiences we have pretty much had to supply everything. Thanx Jim and Narda for allowing us to stay at your cottage it was hard to leave. Will definitely be back again. Maybe sooner than you think. Bill and Vicki Johnston

This was the first time my wife and I have rented a cottage, though we\'ve been married for almost 30 years. When I was a child my family rented a cottage on the opposite shore of Horseshoe lake for many special years. Returning to this place, so full of memories reminded me of how much I still love it there. The Fargin cottage itself is extremely charming and well kept. I enjoy cooking and everything I needed seemed to be close at hand. I even loved the selection of wine glasses and it was a lovely personal touch that two glasses and a bottle of wine were waiting for us.
I spent most early mornings canoeing on the glassy still lake, just me and the loons. I also swam several times a day and cycled the country roads that circle the lake. I was delighted to find a farm nearby that sold me some of their fresh garlic and within a ten minute walk, another that sold us fresh eggs.
Obviously we had a great time. Thank you.
A great week, just too short.
