My husband, and in-laws rented the Kernohan Beach cottage in July 2010. This was the first time we ever rented a cottage, and had specific criteria in which was to be met. Kernohan's met all and more. The pictures on this site did not do justice, however saying that, they were as accurate as can be. The dock on the lake was the selling point for us, and we made much use of it during our week stay. The cottage was in great shape, and very clean. The scenery was spectacular! The photos I came away with were gorgeous, the sunsets say it all. I plan to look at them all through the upcoming winter season, to remind myself I did dwell for a bit in a sunny heaven!

My family very much hopes to have the opportunity to stay there again next summer.

The only small, minute, annoyance we had was the linens that were left on the bed. We were told that we must provided our own linens, which was of no bothersome issue with us, but when we arrived, it looked as though the family had just left. I would have preferred that no bed linens were on the beds. As such, we had to strip the bed ourselves to place our own sheets on. However, this was the only issue we had, and nothing near enough to deter a return visit.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone. The lake was beautiful and warm. The scenery was to die for. I have never had a more relaxing vacation.

We loved our stay at this cottage. We have three small children and the shallow beach area was absolutely perfect for them. I would stay at this cottage again. It was neat, all three beds were extremely comfortable and it had everything that we needed to make the week a great vacation.

There were plenty of ceiling fans to keep the place cool on days when it was extremely hot.

We had no problems using our cellphones if we were out on the deck. It was sketchy using them indoors.
