We were very pleased with our home away from home for the week of August 15.

The home is well appointed and rooms very spacious which was very helpful with 2 small toddlers and 4 year old. The views from the cottage and decks below were beautiful. Pine Lake is small, but peaceful and it was nice not to hear the buzzing of motor boats inundating the lovely peacefulness of the setting.

Our son is training for his triathalon, so the swimming was easily done on this lake. I would however, recommend anyone with small children that they wear proper flotation at all times near water (as ours did) as the water is a bit deep for little ones. Nevertheless, by the end of week our 4 year old was jumping off the end of the dock like a pro.

A lovely time was had by all at Esperanza and we all miss the family of loons we saw each day.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped, spacious! Sandy beach and low traffic lake are very nice and relaxing. Easy to get to, close to town and Kawartha Dairies :)

Both the main level and basement are perfect places for rainy days, don't forget to bring the Xbox or PlayStation!The three bathrooms comes in very handy.

Amazing sunsets on the lake side deck! The only suggestion I would make is to make a more established fire pit with 360 degree seating! Campfires are a key part of going to the cottage.

We really enjoyed the cottage. It has everything a family needs. Booking was easy and hassle free, thank you, Janice. Since we had less people attending (as it turned out at the last minute only 7 were coming), we had more space than anticipated. The view from the living room was gorgeous any time of the day. Thank you, again, you made holidays feel like it.

8 Adults and 1 child. Plenty of space for everyone with big rooms and spacious beds! Very clean and well kept. Excellent swimming and fishing off the dock. We caught some big large mouth and small mouth bass and meet a few people catching both pickeral and muskie. The location is close too so many things including multiple grocery stores. We would all come back again!!

The \"house\" was in very good condition, clean and with all of the amenities anticipated. More than enough room for eight adults and a kid. The common rooms encouraged gatherings and shared activities. The mowed lawns are a bit much as was the proximity to the neighbours, but that\'s the way it seems to be with \"homes\" by the water these days. No complaints though, a great week in Haliburton!

We had a wonderful vacation 6 adults and 3 children 3 and under. It would have been nice to have a little more room on the grounds that was child friendly ( flatter) but overall it was good and all the decks and docks were high off the ground... I am sure there is probably a reason for that but a tripping hazard for little ones. If I had one complaint it would be having to get rid of the garbage...the sorting the trucking and the dump does not open till 10 and you have to be out at 11:00. For the rental fee perhaps one bag of garbage could be disposed of by the owners (just that last bit that comes from cleaning out the fridge etc. I would rent this home again once the children are a little older.

We had a great family reunion at the cottage! Loved the boating, swimming and view! The sand seemed a little more muddy by the time we were there at the end of the summer, but the kids still had fun making sandcastles etc. It would have been useful to have had an info package at the cottage with things to do in the area, especially child friendly activities, places to eat etc. Overall, we had a fabulous time.
