Schmenge's Hideaway

Babies and children will enjoy the shallow water near the beach. All necessary amenities are provided for families traveling with (young) children. Early risers can enjoy beautiful sunrises (even sight some loons). The screened veranda keeps out insects in the evening for those who want it. Sunny and shady patches of grass satisfy both sun worshipers and shadow lovers. All in all, a nice family cottage vacation.

We were a group of 4 adults... Thought it was a very nice cottage! Very Spatious!!! Awesome screened in room (thats where most of our time was spent!!)..the drive there was just beautiful!!! Beautiful scenery all around!! We had fun with the paddle boat, even fished off the dock and caught some small fish.. Nice lake!!! There is some grass just off the dock, but the water is clean and there is lots of other area that is nice sand.. would be great for kids. Dogs had a blast!! Rooms were a good size, but there is only one queen, the other is a double and the pull out couch is a queen. The yard is a great size, and we had lots of fun playing badminton!!!

Overall it was a great quiet relaxing vacation! We would definetly go back, but with hopes of having a motor boat to use, so we could see the whole beautiful lake!! ;-)
