just came back from 4 days at "steeples". Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 small children. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. The location and shallow water with sandy beach was also great for the kids. I found it very private and a great place to really relax (when the kids were asleep after playing all day!!) Kudos to the property owners (and all season cottage rentals) for creating such a great vacation spot..we enjoyed it completely and would recommend it to anyone...

Perfect cottage experience

We rented Steeples in July 2009. We went with our friends and so there was 4 adults and 5 children, ages 3 to 12. The cottage is lovely, clean and very spacious. We made good use of all the space and each family had their own washroom.

The screened in porch was used for every lunch and dinner. The kitchen was perfect to work in with a couple of helpers and you still felt connected to the outside with the large picture windows with the beautiful view.

The sandbeach with shallow water was ideal for the kids. Swimming off the dock was clean and easy. The abundence of wildlife was the favorite of all of us. We had visits from deer, a mother duck and her 9 ducklings, a large turtle (Old Malcolm)who enjoyed swimming with us and hiding under the dock, frogs at all stages of development and grasshopers who seemed content to be passed from hand to hand.

Sitting on the beach around the fire pit roasting marshmellows, fishing off the dock, quietly hiding on the private balcony to watch the sunrise, it really was a perfect cottage getaway.

We will be back again.

The cottage is very clean and bug free! Fantastic private lot with sandy beach and shallow water. The internet and flat screen TV was a nice surprise. Brand new HE washer and dryer was handy for quick loads. We were 7 adults and 3 children (1 yr, and 2 four yr olds) and we had plenty of space. The rooms are much larger than they appear in the pictures. The extra den was a great play room for the kids!
We found the beds to be really hard and would bring foam pads with us next time. Loved it and it's worth every penny!

Yet another awesome stay at Steeples cottage. We loved it in 2010 and enjoyed it again in 2011!!! The cottage is perfect for family vacation! We were 7 adults and 3 small children (ages 5 to 18 months) What a blast! The cottage is perfect with every amenity you would ever want. The lake water was 74 degrees - great for swimming. We already can't wait to re-book for 2012!!!

We had a girls weekend at the cottage. All the girls were very impressed with the cottage, it is warm, inviting and well organized. Stocked really well incase you forget something. We are planning on booking another girls weekend there in the summer.
