My husband, daughter and son-in-law and now 2 grandchildren have been going to Sunset Cove for I think 8 years now and I can't believe I have never written a review. This lovely spot is close to our hearts. I can't say enough about the sunsets, the tranquility and the fun we have had. The most perfect camp fire pit ever, and if it rains you don't mind staying indoors and watching the rain on the lake. Good fishing, swimming and lots to do in the area if you want to venture away from the cottage. Of all the cottages we have rented over the years this is our favourite.

Really enjoy it in winter as it more quiet and private. Hot Tub is excellent.
Good lake trout ice fishing. Very nice cottage with tons of stuff to do at the cottage and in the area.
thanks

My husband, my son and I stayed a weekend at Sunset Cove and had a fabulous time. It's the perfect cottage setting: Rustic, a panoramic view of the lake and forest via the floor to ceiling windows, pine plank floors, a fully equipped kitchen, private, and lots of room. Staying warm and cozy by the wood burning stove was the best part after a day of great snowmobiling at the nearby (and amazing) Haliburton Forest. We have rented many cottages, Sunset Cove has it all! Well worth it, we'll be back for sure!

Beautiful views, clean swimming water, great canoeing or kayaking.
Hot tub fabulous bonus and fire pit is great place to enjoy late afternoon and sunset.
The pictures here are out of date, newer table set on the patio that seats 6, comfy Muskoka chairs around fire pit, 2 BbQ's and 2 fridges which was really handy.
There was no beach when we visited but stone stairs to lake provided easy water access for swimming. I would recommend water shoes for the entry as the little rocks are hard on the feet.
Having a dryer (&washer) is great too.
A beautiful full sized golden coloured dog visits through out the day. He is very familiar with the property and try's to go inside ( we did not allow as we are allergic).
The dirt road getting to the cottage is brutal for the car but the cottage and view are well worth the drive.
Closest store is the LCBO/beer/convenience store back at 118 ( abt 35 from cottage). Make sure to stop there on way in because you don't want to be away for a minute.
Can't wait to return next spring! Thanks for sharing your gem with us!
